Why Shockwave Therapy Works (When It's Done Right)

After the Institute for Tissue Regeneration and Repair conference in Boston, hosted by CuraMedix, one idea stuck with me. Shockwave therapy is a biological treatment, not a switch that turns pain off. It restarts stalled healing, so the results build over a course of weekly visits rather than arriving overnight.
Three things decide whether it actually works: the dose, the pressure and depth, and treating the true source instead of just the spot that hurts. And the patients who understand the process get the best results, which is why I treat education as part of the treatment.
